How to Charge for Your Healing Services + Feel Good About It

I am not one to buy the latest product just because its trendy, without doing my diligent research and vetting beforehand 💅🏼. That being said, when I love a product, I reallllyyyyy LOVE it 💕. I can't seem to stop talking about it with any and everyone, despite the lack of a paid partnership 😂. But for some reason, when it comes time to sell my offer that I have poured so much love, energy and effort into, I feel like being quiet as a mouse 🐭.  Why is it so easy to sell others, but so difficult to sell my own?

As a healer and creative, the act of marketing and selling feels like a whole new ballgame, which seems absolutely absurd given my Business Marketing Degree 📜, 10+ years of experience in marketing and 6+ years as an entrepreneur 👩🏼‍💼. Maybe it's because it brings up the endless question - 'Should we be monetizing our art?" It could also be striking a cord with my fear of being seen that leaves me feeling vulnerable AF. Or , does this have to do with my relationship to money 💰and receiving in general? It's all the above baby, let's drop in.

Should we monetize our art?

Art in its purest form is straight magic 🪄. Like the untouched songs of Joni Mitchell or the amazing phenomena of Banksy, there is something inexplicable when it comes to letting art speak for itself without the marketing and selling bullshit 😝. I don't think this answer is black or white. It is extremely nuanced, and I am not about to take over this blog with all the intricacies 🫣. I will speak to what this means for healers trying to build a business from their intuitive gifts.

Yes- there is creativity in your business ✨. It is an art form. However, in this case, it is also a service. You are giving away your energy to someone else for their benefit and success (just incredible 🥹). So what happens when this is only is a one way street? It can only be sustainable for so long. Why? Because that is the law of nature. What we give, we must also receive. Your time and energy is like a fire 💥 that can only stay kindled for so long without more logs to burn. So if you feel uncomfortable receiving for your gifts, it could mean two things. The first is that you are learning how to receive (more on this in #3). The second is that you are in the beginning stages of your business and need to build your confidence in your gifts. This is okay to give some services for free or discounted price 🤑, to build clientele, trust and testimonials. However, there must be an end date as to not get zapped of all your miracle, healing energy ⚡️.

I am afraid of being seen as a spiritual healer

Yes, we are super grateful we live in a world rn where intuitive mediums 🔮 and healers are seen as a profession. I literally had a convo with someone about this at a coffee shop recently, and he literally said "What?! That is actually a thing! Amazing". I can hop on an IG live and get an intuitive reading whenever and my feed is filled with energy updates, angel number meanings 😇 and intuitive messages for the collective.

Yet, when it comes to sharing my unique offering to my niche audience, I am always terrified to share 🫣. I don't know if this fear will ever truly go away. All I know is that my consistent awareness of the fear before I put a behavior to it, is where I see the most growth 📈. For example, I can easily say 'I am not posting that reel. People will think I am wild, bonkers 😵‍💫, out of my mind'. Or, I can say, 'lol. yes, you are still scared to post something that may be controversial or too bold. My intention is to share my voice and gifts, which I know have helped my 100s of clients. Let's share it anyways.' See the diff. Catch the fear before you act on it. That's it.

It is difficult for me to receive.

My healing journey has been a reclamation of owning my divine feminine energy. I mean... I rebranded my IG @angelica_feminine_healer a couple of years ago, because that was the main type of client I would see walk through my virtual door, again and again 🤣. Being in your divine feminine energy means being in a state of flow 🌊, joy, creativity, surrender and receiving 👐🏼. So often (and still today) I would get the woman who has gone through many cycles of burnout from being too much in her masculine energy. Her worth was put on her work, output and success, which left no room to pause and receive. She was exhausted 😩 and tired and just wanted ease and flow.

That's the tricky thing about reclaiming your divine feminine energy. There is no special recipe or anythng you need to do. It is learning the art of being. Stillness. Pause. Receive. This can be a process, especially if you've been in a state of hyper masculinity for years. The simplest shifts that helped me in the beginning were:

Instead of turning compliments into self deprecating comments, I now say 'thank you and smile' 😄

Instead of rejecting help and saying no I got it, I now say 'that would be lovely, thank you' 😚

Instead of looking at how much I missed my monthly goals by, I now say 'I am so grateful and proud for the sales I have made 🥳 (and do a happy dance after every sale/new client)'

Instead of feeling like an imposter when I make a new sale/receive a new client, I now say 'Thank you universe, I have worked well for this and thank you for this gift ❤️.'

I don't trust my intuitive gifts + believe in my offer

Alright this last piece is so important. If you don't believe in what you are selling, who will 🧐? Just because you are feeling a little eh on your gifts and offer, doesn't necessarily mean its the wrong one. It can just mean you need to build more trust in your gifts and the results they bring to your clients. This may not be the answer you want to hear, but sometimes, this just takes time. It takes experience working with clients for them to show you what amazing success they receive from working with you. Over time, your reality shows you again and again just how magical you are 🦄 and your confidence muscle strengthens.

Now, believing in your offer can go hand in hand with trusting your gifts 🎁. There is also another piece to this. How you market and sell your offer has to be clear enough to your future clients so they understand that the price is worth the service. While there are lots of tools I share with my clients in crafting the perfect offer your audience can't get enough of, it first starts with you feeling like your service is something you would purchase. When you were in your client's current challenge, would you pay for your service 🧐? Would you be SO stoked that finally someone has the exact solution to your obstacle? Then woo! 💁🏼‍♀️ You have created an energetic match for your future client.

So after you've settled on what money belief story you have, the real work begins. Look at where and how it shows up in your business and get behind it before you act on it. This will help bring in confidence to your offer and let the feel good effect kick 💕 in when making a sale. In no time, you will not be able to shut up about how amazing your offer is and screaming it from the rooftop!
